This reminds me of the book Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark…I always thought the pictures were scarier than the stories.

I saw Vero re-blog this, but I decided to re-blog this response because it’s EXACTLY what I thought! Recently I was talking with someone about Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and how the illustrations were much creepier and scarier than the actual stories were.
